Château de Marsannay – Bourgogne du Château 2018, Pinot Noir – Bourgogne

The nose is fruity and offers a small concentration as well as a certain richness of the fruit. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and small notes of pulpy plum associated with touches of pulpy raspberry, gray pepper as well as hints of tobacco, a subtle hint of nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of laurel. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, minerality, roundness, a certain suavity a certain richness as well as dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / crunchy cherry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of juicy / pulpy purple plum associated with a touch of blueberry, fresh violet, fresh cornflowers as well as a subtle hint of cherry stone, liquorice and sweet spices. Tannins are racy and very slightly tight. Presence of a fine varietal hint on the finish / persistence.
