Trenel – Les Capitans 2017 – Juliénas

The nose is fruity and offers gourmandize, a certain richness, a small concentration as well as elegance. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of strawberry associated with touches of violet, plum blossoms, sweet spices as well as hints of chocolate, blond tobacco, cinnamon as well as a hint of Madagascar pepper and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy / acidulous frame, a good definition, gourmandize, a fine richness, a certain elegance, racy minerality, juiciness, a fine grain, a fine silkiness as well as a fine deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / acidulous purple plum, juicy cassis and small notes of violet associated with touches of wild strawberry, small bright red berries, hints of cornflowers, racy minerality, local dry grove, dry tobacco as well as fine hints of mocha, cinnamon and vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
