Domaine de Coste Chaude – Madrigal 2018 – Côtes du Rhône Villages, Visan

The nose is fruity and offers a small power, intensity as well as a small incisive side. It reveals notes of cassis, wild redcurrant, small notes of pepper associated with touches of garrigue, laurel berries, hints of wild strawberry, spices as well as fine hints of incense and tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy frame, acidulous, gourmandize, a pulpy/juicy fruit, a good definition, a small richness as well as freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright redcurrant, bright wild strawberry, small notes of pulpy cherry associated with touches of bright cassis as well as hints of zan, laurel berries, tobacco and discreet hints of vanilla (in the finish/persistence).
