Quinta Dona Mafalda – Don Kyno 2019 – Douro

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a lot of explosive fruits. It reveals notes of pulpy/bright cassis, blueberry small notes of strawberry associated with touches of crushed raspberry, nutmeg, fine hints of aromatic herbs/thyme/olive tree as well as discreet hints of sweet spices and a hint of vanilla incense. The palate is fruity, gourmand and offers a bright fruit, a good definition as well as precision, a fine tension and a beautiful suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, plum, small notes of strawberry associated with fine touches of fig, violet as well as hints of aromatic herbs/fresh garrigue, hazelnut as well as a discreet hint of toasted oak/vanilla. Tannins are well-built. A gourmand and on the fruit wine.
