Château La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration/power as well as a small minerality. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, wild cassis, small notes of crunchy wild strawberry associated with small touches of small crushed fruits, cornflower, fine hints of pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, a fine tension and fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/crushed cassis, crushed blackberry, small notes of wild strawberry associated with a touch of crushed violet plum, violet as well as fine hints of racy minerality (clay), sweet spices, vanilla and toasted (in the background). Good length. Tannins are well-built. Very discreet hints of underwood/mushroom/chocolate on the finish/persistence.
