The palate is fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a fine tension, a small fat, tension as well as a mineral frame and juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy cassis, small crunchy/juicy black berries, small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with touches of violet, iris, camphor, tonka bean as well as a subtle hint of fresh tobacco, fresh nutmeg, toasted and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built. A subtle hint of bitterness of the cocoa in the finish.
