Château de Ferrand 2010 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers a beautiful intensity of the fruit, deepness and a beautiful grain. It reveals notes of fresh wild cassis, small juicy/fresh black fruits, small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with touches of lilac, violet as fine hints of black plum, tobacco, a subtle hint of cedar, spices and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced and offers a beautiful silky definition, a beautiful touch, a beautiful finesse of the fat, elegance and a beautiful finesse of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of very ripe wild blackberry, cassis, small notes of violet associated with touches of small wild berries, black plum as well as hints of tobacco, black tea, camphor and an imperceptible hint of lilac (in the background). A persistence on notes of ripe but acidulous fruits, toasted and hazelnut. A beautiful wine on the fruit.
