Domaine Stéphane de Sousa – Les Vaumuriens 2017 – Pommard

The nose is racy, finely tight and offers a fine grain, a small intensity as well as a small power. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, wild strawberry, small notes of small red berries associated with touches of violet, camphor as well as fine hints of pepper, dry mild tobacco, a subtle hint of liquorice and rosse wood. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, gourmandize as well as a fine tension and a small roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, juicy/pulpy blackberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of fleshy strawberry, cherry as well as hints of cherry blossom, liquorice, mild tobacco, a discreet hint of camphor and an imperceptible hint of safran (in the background). Good length.
