Laffitte 1985 – Bas-Armagnac

The nose is fruity and offers intensity, a fine incisive touch as well as gourmandize. It reveals notes of dry lemon, dried yellow grapes and small notes of dried zest of mandarin associated with small touches of candied lemon as well as a fine hint of dried apricot, spices, cedar, slight hints of dried tobacco and a very discreet hint of biscuit. The palate is fruity, well-balanced (full of balance and lightness) and offers gourmandize, finesse, a certain tension as well as power. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of dry yellow grapes, dried peach and small notes of crystallized lemon associated with small touches of quince, a hint of apricot blossoms, spices, pepper, cedar as well as with a discreet toasted hint, lemon blossoms, an imperceptible hint of roasting and vanilla (in the background). Good length.
