Filadoro 2013 – Taurasi DOCG

The nose is elegant, fine, precise, aerial and offers complexity, power as well as finesse. It reveals notes of cornflower, bright cassis, small bright blue fruits, small notes of small wild black berries associated with touches of Cuben pepper, sense of the place (local biotope), tonka bean/cocoa, a discreet hint of thyme flowers and an imperceptible saline hint. The palate is elegant, delicate, fine and offers finesse, a beautiful harmony as well as gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, a good structure and an aromatic purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, bright blackberry, small notes of small wild red berries associated with a touch of cherry seed, lily as well as fine hints of local garrigue/thyme flowers, cocoa, a discreet hint of pepper and grilled. Good length. Tannins are fine, elegant and precise.
