La Clef de Voûte 2018 – Saint-Emilion

The nose offers a fine grain, power as well as a certain intensity and a small concentration. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, small ripe berries, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of small berries, violet, pepper as well as very fine racy hints/terroir, a subtle hint of tobacco and an imperceptible saline hint. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, fleshiness/pulpiness as well as a fine freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy cassis, small notes of griotte associated with touches of violet, grey pepper as well as hints of tobacco, almond, a subtle hint of tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of humus (in the background). Good length.
