Château de Candale 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château de Candale 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is elegant, well-built, racy and offers a fine grain as well as a beautiful power. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, wild cassis, small ripe wild berries, small notes of small red fruits associated with touches of Cuben pepper/grey pepper, nutmeg, spices and an imperceptible hint of dry zests. The palate is fruity, beautifully racy and offers juiciness, gourmandize as well as an acidulous frame, suavity, roundness and a beautiful definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, bright cassis, small notes of raspberry associated with touches of blueberry as well as fine hints of pulpy/juicy cherry, plum, discreet hints of chocolate, toasted, vanilla, cardamom and a subtle hint of flowers (in the background). A beautiful racy, gourmand and on the fruit wine… a beautiful ambassador of its terroir!
