The nose is fresh, fruity and offers a fine deepness. It reveals notes of quite ripe cassis, liquorice stick, small notes of plum associated with small touches of tobacco, very discreet hints of tonka bean as well as a subtle hint of tobacco and sweet spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers precision, a certain straightness, tension, a juicy/finely acidulous frame and a racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe cassis, quite ripe plum, small notes of cherry, quite ripe small red berries associated with fine hints of tobacco, tonka bean, cardamom and an imperceptible hint of truffle. Good length. Tannins are well-built.
