Vieux Château Palon 2018 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose offers gourmandize, a small power/concentration and a certain richness. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, crushed strawberry, small notes of fleshy violet plum associated with a touch of blackberry cream, liquorice, violet, chocolate as well as a hint of sugared mild tobacco and an imperceptible hint of almond. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers gourmandize, a finely acidulous frame, a beautiful minerality, precision as well as elegance, density, gourmandize and a small richness (justly controlled). On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis cream, crushed blackberry, crushed strawberry, small notes of crushed violet plum associated with touches of chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut as well as subtle hints of lilac, violet, sugared mild tobacco and toasted. Good length.
