Château Gachon 2018 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and offers fleshiness as well as a well-defined fruit. It reveals notes of pulpy cassis, raspberry, small notes of small crushed red berries associated with touches of violet, camphor, grey pepper as well as a discreet hint of iris and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, juiciness as well as a juicy/fresh/pulpy fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, raspberry, small notes of crushed cassis associated with a touch of crushed plum as well as fine hints of zan, black tea, chocolate and a subtle hint of vanilla (in the background). Tannins are structuring.
