The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a beautiful fruit as well as a fine freshness. It reveals notes of quite ripe cassis, quite ripe raspberry, small notes of violet associated with fine touches of liquorice, crushed strawberry as well as a hint of cooked blueberry, spices, a very discreet hint of pepper, almond and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, beautifully defined and offers precision, tension as well as a small finely tight density. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe wild cassis, ripe wild blackberry, small notes of very ripe raspberry associated with touches of cornflower, lily, cooked blueberry as well as hints of caramelization, nutmeg, graphite, a very discreet hint of underwood and an imperceptible hint of tea. Tannins are elegant and supple. A hint of sapidity in the finish/persistence.
