The nose is fruity, racy and offers a well-defined fruit. This wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of fleshy/juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy cherry, small notes of blackberry associated with touches of crushed strawberry, small black fruits as well as hints of racy minerality/flint, violet, fresh liquorice and discreet hints of cardamom/spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, finely tight and offers an acidulous frame, a beautiful tension, a small straightness, a small density as well as richness, a fine/finely tight grain and a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, blackberry, small notes of small black fruits associated with touches of violet, camphor, black cherry as well as fine hints of liquorice, a racy minerality, very fine hints of toasted hazelnut and an imperceptible hint of graphite/cocoa. Tannins are structuring and precise. A hint of good bitterness on the persistence.
