Domaine Malartic 2019 – Côtes de Gascogne IGP

The nose is fruity, concentrated, slightly tight and offers power. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of crunchy cassis, cassis bud and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with fine touches of small crunchy red berries as well as discreet varietal hints and an imperceptible hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers sweetness, suavity, a small silkiness as well as a small aerial side and an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous cassis, fresh raspberry, small notes of juicy/fresh redcurrant associated with small touches of juicy plum as well as very fine hints of violet and a discreet varietal hint. Tannins are frank and slightly firm. Good length. A very discreet hint of caramelization on the finish/persistence.
