Domaine du Clos du Fief – Les Deschanes 2018 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is aromatic and offers concentration as well as a fine power. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, crushed plum, small notes of crushed raspberry associated with touches of lily, lilac, small notes of cherry blossom, cuben pepper as well as fine touches of sense of the place (local biotope). The palate is fruity, elegant, racy, beautifully defined and offers gourmandize, an acidulous frame, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as delicacy, richness (in subtility) and a beautiful finesse of the roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, pulpy violet plum, small notes of bright blackberry associated with touches of lilac, fresh violet, small red berries as well as hints of chocolate, bourbon vanilla, green cardamom and an imperceptible hint of black tea (in the background). Good length. A beautiful wine full of control and gourmandize.
