Mas Cal Demoura – Terre de Jonquières 2018 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is fruity, fresh, aromatic, very finely tight. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, fresh raspberry, small notes of small ripe/fresh red fruits associated with small touches of toasted, nutmeg as well as fine hints of racy minerality (terroir), pink laurel, a very discreet hint of olive leaf and pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, precise, well-balanced and offers a beautiful finesse of the fat, suavity, suppleness, fullness as well as a fine acidulous frame and a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/bright cherry, pulpy raspberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of small red fruits, pink laurel, rose as well as a hint of bright blueberry, black olive, sweet spices, a very discreet hint of caramelization/toasted hazelnut and sugared mild tobacco. Good length. Tannins are well-built.
