Domaine Les Aurelles – Aurel 2014 – Pezenas, Languedoc

The nose is well-built and offers power, a fine grain as well as a certain intensity. It reveals notes of ripe wild red berries, cassis bud, small notes of crunchy wild strawberry associated with small touches of cherry seed, spices, very fine hints of local copse, tobacco and liquorice stick. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, a beautiful suavity, a beautiful definition as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain, gourmandize, a small spheric side, a fine acidulous frame, freshness and a beautiful suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cherry, cherry seed, small notes of blackberry associated with a touch of cassis bud, liquorice, cornflower as well as fine hint of fresh local copse, juicy/fresh violet plum and sweet spices. A very discreet hint of cocoa and toasted hazelnut on the persistence.
