Château L’Argilus du Roi 2019 – Saint-Estèphe 

The nose is fruity and offers power, intensity and a finely tight grain. It reveals notes of wild cassis, small wild red berries, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of grey pepper, violet, a racy minerality as well as fine hints of nutmeg, sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of caramelization. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, a pulpy/juicy/acidulous fruit, suavity, gourmandize as well as roundness and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy raspberry, small notes of cherry associated with small touches of juicy/pulpy/fresh strawberry, lily as well as hints of racy minerality, zan, fresh nutmeg and discreet hints of caramelization.
