Domaine Simon Blanchard Guitard 2019 – Montagne Saint-Emilion 

The nose is fresh, aromatic and offers a good finesse of the grain and harmony. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, iris, small notes of small crunchy red fruits associated with very fine hints of violet, crushed cassis as well as very fine varietal hints and spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers freshness, gourmandize, tension, a racy minerality, a good finesse of the grain, a fine fat, juiciness, a fine onctuosity as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/crunchy cassis, juicy/crunchy blackberry, small notes of raspberry associated with touches of violet, iris as well as fine hints of chocolate, toasted almond and a subtle hint of caramelization (in the background).
