Château Lestours Clocher 2015 – Vacqueyras

The nose is fruity, elegant well-built, racy and offers concentration. It reveals notes of fleshy/juicy black cherry, fleshy raspberry, small notes of cassis associated with fine touches of crushed cassis, violet, redcurrant crème as well as subtle hints of liquorice, sweet spices, camphor, black olive and a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is elegant, gourmandize, beautifully built, precise, silky and offers suavity, concentration (in finesse), a small fat, minerality, a small freshness as well as a beautiful purity of the fruit, a beautiful precision and a small power (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright black cherry, bright cassis, small notes of wild blackberry associated with touches of crushed redcurrant, crushed violet plum, violet, rose as well as fine touches of liquorice stick, toasted, camphor, sense of the place, an imperceptible hint of candied redcurrant, black tea, tonka bean and grey pepper. Tannins are well-built and elegant. Good length.
