Comte de Lauze 2019 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The nose is aromatic and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, a small finely tight intensity. It reveals notes of quince, crushed lychee, small notes of fleshy/fresh yellow apple associated with touches of fleshy/juicy Mirabelle, flint/racy minerality as well as hints of zests, lemon flowers, acacia, a discreet hint of pepper and an imperceptible hint of olive tree. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a good definition, juiciness, a small gourmandize as well as a small minerality, a fine roundness, suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh lemon, fresh green apple, small notes of juicy/fresh peach associated with small touches of juicy quince, juicy mandarine, zests as well as a subtle hint of juicy/fresh lychee, apple flowers, white flowers as well as an imperceptible hint of olive tree leaf. Good length. A very discreet hint of toasted almond on the finish/persistence.
