The nose is elegant, racy and offers a beautiful definition, power (in control) as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of pulpy wild cassis, crushed Boysen berry, small notes of juicy/wild red berries associated with touches of liquorice, crushed blueberry, cherry jam as well as fine hints of spices, nutmeg, Sichuan pepper and chocolate. The palate is fruity, elegant and offers precision, straightness as well as tension, a certain power and a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy griotte/cherry, crushed Boysen berry, small notes of fleshy/juicy violet plum associated with touches of small wild red berries, cassis as well as fine hints of rosemary, pink laurel, sense of the place as well as a very discreet hint of grey pepper and spices. Good length. Tannins are elegant and well-built. A very discreet hint of vanilla on the persistence.
