Château de Portets 2019 – Graves

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers power, harmony as well as a fine richness. It reveals notes of juicy blackberries, crushed cassis and small notes of juicy Gariguette strawberry associated with touches of juicy black plum, raspberry, cornflower as well as very fine hints of racy minerality, a subtle hint of rose, liquorice, gray pepper and sweet spices. The mouth is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, freshness, a fine tension as well as a beautiful finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / fresh blackberry, juicy / fresh cassis and small notes of Gariguette strawberry associated with small touches of violet, rose, licorice as well as fine hints of sweet spices. Tannins are well-built and very slightly firm. A subtle hint of toasted hazelnut on the finish / persistence.
