Le Strette – Persole 2018 – Barbera d’Alba Superiore

The nose is elegant, fruity and offers power (but full of elegance). It reveals notes of blackberry, black cherry and small notes of small wild red fruits associated with fine touches of very ripe blueberry as well as fine hints of liquorice, grey pepper and a subtle almost saline hint. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers gourmandize, an acidulous frame as well as a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry and juicy/acidulous Boysen berry associated with very ripe small red berries as well as hints of very ripe plum, violet and a discreet hint of grey pepper. Tannins are elegant and well-built.
