Clos du Val – Tree Graces 2015 – Napa Valley

The nose is elegant, racy and offers power, finesse and deepness. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of Sichuan pepper associated with fine touches of raspberry, grilled oak and small notes of spices, cardamom and a very discreet hint of graphite. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a beautiful finesse, gourmandize as well as richness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe/juicy cassis, juicy Boysen berry and small notes of strawberry associated with fine touches of juicy Quetsche plum as well as fine touches of tonka bean. Tannins are elegant and structuring. A very discreet hint of grey pepper on the persistence.
