Château Plaisance – Réserve de Famille 2011 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and offers power, concentration, a fine grain, a fine freshness as well as a very fine racy minerality. It reveals notes of blackberry, small black fruits and small notes of violet/cornflowers associated with touches of graphite, crushed strawberry as well as a hint of plum, cardamom and spices. The palate is fruity, well-built and offers juiciness, precision, gourmandize as well as a mineral/acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy blackberry and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with a touch of juicy/ripe violet plum, cardamom, toasted/chocolate as well as discreet hints of tonka bean, graphite and a very discreet hint of flowers. Good length. Tannins are well-built. Beautiful persistence.
