Château Suduiraut 2009 – Sauternes, 1er Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, gourmand and offers powers, a fine grain, a fine intensity as well as richness. It reveals notes of quince, small yellow fruits and small notes of bee wax associated with fine touches of vine peach, kumquat/mandarine zests as well as fine hints of pepper, honey/pâtisseries as well as discreet hints of spices and vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers fat, unctuosity, a juicy/acidulous frame as well as richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, candied yuzu and small notes of candied peach associated with small touches of candied Mirabelle as well as hints of exotic fruits, honey, pâtisseries as well as a discreet hint of hazelnut/roasted hazelnut and vanilla. Good length and good persistence.
