Basile – Ad Agio 2014 Riserva – Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG

The nose is fruity, racy, aromatic and offers power. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, gray/Timut pepper and small notes of ripe/fresh blackberry associated with touches of ripe/fresh small red fruits (wild raspberry, red fruits), hints of violet, pink laurel, olive tree as well as very fine hints of toasted, tea, ripe black olive as well as very fine/discreet hints of underwood. On the palate this wine expresses notes of very ripe wild blackberry, very ripe wild cassis and small notes of very ripe wild red fruits associated with fine touches of pink laurel, violet as well as very fine hints of zan, sweet spices, tea/olive tree, very fine hints of toasted, sense of the place and a subtle hint of game (in the background). Good length. A fine chew on the finish.
