Château Haut-Peyrous 2018 – Graves

The nose is fruity and offers crunchiness, freshness, a fine grain as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry , cassis and small crunchy strawberry associated with fine touches of racy minerality, spices as well as very discreet hints of vanilla pod (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, tension as well as finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy/ripe raspberry and small notes of juicy Boysen berry associated with a touch of lilac, cornflower, fine hints of juicy/acidulous black berries as well as hints of racy minerality and an imperceptible hint of nutmeg. Tannins are well-built. Fine sapidity on the finish. Good persistence.
