L’Extravagant de Doisy-Daëne 2018 – Sauternes-Barsac

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant and offers concentration, richness as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of candied pear, candied lemon and small notes of pineapple associated with fine touches of flowers, mango as well as a very discreet hint of candied apricot, white flowers and a very discreet hint of botrytis. The palate is fruity, fat, well-balanced and offers a beautiful richness, a fine grain, a small tension, freshness, a beautiful definition, fleshiness / density, a fine juiciness as well as a beautiful roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of jammy apple, candied pear and small notes of jammy kumquat combined with a touch of mango, candied citrus fruits, slight hints of dried apricot, pineapple in syrup as well as very discreet hints of coconut (in the background) and vanilla. Good length. There are slight hints of honey on the persistence.
