The nose is fruity and fresh. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and small notes of ripe/crunchy wild strawberry, racy minerality (gravels) associated with fine touches of licorice stick, toasted, cardamom, very slight toasted hints, flowers ( iris, peony) as well as an imperceptible hint of pepper and coffee. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, an acidulous frame, finesse, minerality, silkiness as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis and small notes of crunchy / juicy wild strawberry associated with touches of chocolate, liquorice, violet / cornflowers as well as slight touches of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). Tannins are elegant and well-built. There are a hint of tobacco, tonka bean / cocoa and flowers (peony…) on the persistence. There are a hint of coffee and grilled on the aftertaste.
