Domaine Henri Magnien – Les Cazetiers 2017 – Gevrey-Chambertin, 1er Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers power as well as a racy minerality. It reveals notes of cherry and wild cassis associated with small notes of fleshy raspberry, blue fruits as well as fine touches of graphite and fine hints of cardamom. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, racy and offers a good definition, juiciness, minerality/a racy minerality, gourmandize as well as silkiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cherry, blackberry and small notes of plum associated with touches of cassis, cornflower, hints of mild tobacco/zan, cardamom and a very discreet hint of almond (in the background). Good length. There are hints of dark chocolate on the finish. Very fine chews on the aftertaste.
