Château Haut-Breton Larigaudière 2016 – Margaux, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic and offers a fine richness, a fine freshness, gourmandize as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe wild cassis, blackberry and more slightly wild strawberry, violet associated with small touches of Sichuan pepper, wild raspberry, cardamom as well as discreet hints of rose and spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, structured and offers tension/straightness as well as juicy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and more slightly fleshy/juicy cassis associated with fine touches of racy minerality, ripe/juicy small berries as well as hints of zan, toasted and a very discreet hint of mild tobacco (in the background).
