The nose is elegant, fruity and offers a fine richness, precision, a very fine straightness, power as well as generosity. It reveals notes of caramelized orange, citrus zest (orange, mandarin) and small notes of cedar associated with touches of zante currant, flowers, prune, dried raspberry as well as fine hints of mild tobacco, fresh leather, a very discreet hint of clove and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, gourmand, well-balanced and offers a fine juiciness, a beautiful/fine acidulous frame, precision as well as power. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of candied orange, dried citrus zests and small notes of crushed zante currant associated with fine hints of dried apricot, plum as well as fine hints of cedarwood, honey, almond and dried fruit on the finish/persistence. Good length. There is a hint of chocolate and caramelization/pâtisseries on the persistence. A beautiful wine!
