Château Mangot 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
The nose is aromatic and offers power as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, wild blackberry and ripe black berries, zan associated with a discreet hint of Cuben pepper as well as a very discreet hint of black cherry skin, cocoa and an imperceptible floral hint. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful freshness, dynamism, roundness as well as fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and wild strawberry combined with small touches of black berries, a very discreet hint of blueberry (in the background), cornflowers / flowers as well as subtle touches of zan, spices, fine touches of cocoa, vanilla, a very discreet hint of hazelnut and an imperceptible touch of Sichuan pepper. Tannins are well-built. Good length. The finish is (very) slightly powdered.
