Château Ausone 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant, bewitching, racy and offers intensity. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, cassis and more slightly crushed raspberry associated with fine touches of small ripe/fleshy fruits, caramelization, toasted oaky as well as subtle/discreet touches of almond, a hint of spices and a discreet hint of nutmeg (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, elegant, racy, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness,  very beautiful finesse, delicacy, a beautiful finesse of the grain , a fine creaminess, a nice fullness as well as a very fine fleshy (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, crushed raspberry and more slightly cassis associated with fine touches of toasted, vanilla oaky as well as discreet touches of almond (in the background) and chocolate. Tannins are fine as well as slightly firm and powdered. Chews on the finish. Beautiful gourmandize and persistence!
