Château La Commanderie 2008 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, slightly squeezed and offers a small freshness. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with small touches of vanilla as well as very discreet hints of sweet spices / caramelization. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky and offers suavity, freshness, a small acid frame, precision as well as finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of wild berries, violet, licorice as well as discreet hints of undergrowth, cardamom, tobacco and tonka bean. Tannins are bien menés. Good length.
