Chapelle de Labrie 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers power, a captivating side as well as structure. It reveals notes of cassis, wild berries and small notes of strawberry, blackberry associated with slight / discreet hints of minerality as well as discreet hints of spices, cardamom and a very discreet hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced and offers a good definition, suavity, precision, a fine tension, a beautiful minerality, a beautiful grain, power, roundness as well as a small fat. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of cassis, black cherry and small notes of liquorice, small fresh / juicy red fruits associated with discreet touches of tonka bean, spices as well as a very slight hint of caramelization (on the finish) and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine and very slightly firm. (2020+)
