Poderi Luigi Einaudi 2014 – Barolo

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, a small richness, a beautiful fineness of the grain as well as intensity and gourmandise. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy strawberry and small notes of cherry associated with small touches of blueberry, liquorice, discreet hints of black olive, vanilla as well as very discreet hints of nutmeg (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of undergrowth (in the background). The palate is fruity, elegant and offers a small freshness, a beautiful definition, a beautiful suavity, precision, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a small aerial side as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cherry, fleshy blackberry and small notes of fleshy wild strawberry associated with small touches of fleshy cassis, flowers (blueberry / lilac) as well as discreet hints of olive, minerality racy, vanilla, toasted / caramelization and very discreet hints of sweet spices / Virginia blond tobacco. Tannins are fine, a bit firm and very slightly dry.
