Vite Colte, Essenze – Di Barolo 2013 – Barolo

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand and very discreetly fleshy / tight. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed black berries and a touch of crushed/ripe red berries combined with touches of black cherry, strawberry, racy minerality, a very discreet hint of camphor, discreet hints of scrubland / rosemary, black olive as well as an imperceptible hint of black pepper and tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine mineral frame, a fine minerality, a small fat, elegance, precision, delicacy as well as a fine power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy plum and small notes of black cherry associated with small touches of crushed/ripe red berries, hints of crushed raspberry, tonka bean / chocolate, toasted, camphor , flowers, cardamom as well as a very discreet hint of Cuben pepper and black olive. Tannins are fine, a bit firm and young. There are an imperceptible hint of caramelization, almond and vanilla on the persistence (brings chew and gourmandise). (2022+)
