Battaglio – Madunina 2015 – Barbera d’Alba

It reveals notes of crushed raspberry, small jammy red berries associated with small touches of blackberry, vanilla as well as very discreet toasted hints and salted butter caramel. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very slightly fresh and offers a beautiful fleshiness, gourmandise, a good definition, a slight mineral frame, a beautiful roundness, finesse as well as a small racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis and blueberry associated with a hint of strawberry, vanilla, toasted hint, salted butter caramel as well as a very discreet hint of coffee / oak (in the background). Tannins are well-built.
