The nose is aromatic, concentrated and offers power as well as a certain finesse. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of liquorice associated with fine hints of pepper as well as discreet hints of tobacco, vanilla and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, suave, racy and offers a good definition, roundness, tension, a slight juiciness, silkiness, a good dynamism, a slight freshness as well as concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of black berries associated with slight hints of red fruits, tobacco, cocoa / tonka bean as well as a discreet hint of caramelization. Tannins are fine, very slightly tight and a bit firm. There are hints of vanilla and almond on the aftertaste.
