The nose is fruity, concentrated and aromatic. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of elderberries associated with touches of blueberry, small hints of Sichuan pepper, graphite as well as discreet hints of cocoa and blond tobacco. The palate is well-balanced, concentrated, racy, very slightly tight and offers a beautiful fat, roundness, a beautiful definition, a slight acid frame, a beautiful suavity, gourmandise, a good finesse, structure, tension , a small juiciness, a small melodious side as well as elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild blackberry, crushed cassis and touches of Gariguette strawberry associated with slight touches of dark chocolate, tonka bean, caramelization, slight toasted touches / vanilla as well as discreet hints of toasted hazelnut and an imperceptible touch of almost saline minerality on the finish. Very beautiful length and persistence. The finish is gourmande. There are a touch of chocolate, caramelization and a touch of hazelnut on the persistence. (2020+)
