Château Trotanoy 2016 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant, fine, aromatic, racy and offers subtlety as well as a slight power. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and crushed blueberry / blue fruits combined with small touches of strawberry, plum, cornflower / iris as well as slight touches of cardamom and Sichuan pepper. The mouth is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, an acidulous frame, a racy minerality, a beautiful suppleness, a beautiful suavity / roundness, fat, a very fine fleshiness as well as a little bit tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed wild cassis and small notes of blue fruits associated with slight touches of raspberry, tonka bean, Cuben pepper, spices as well as an imperceptible touch of cinnamon. Tannins are elegant and supple. Good length. Beautiful persistence with touches of chocolate and caramelization.
