Domaine Chardigny – Les Cornillaux 2016 – Saint-Véran

The nose is fruity, fleshy and offers gourmandise, freshness, a (very) slight richness as well as a (very) slightly power / intensity. It reveals notes of pear, brugnon and small notes of mirabelle plum associated with fine touches of quince, juicy / ripe citrus as well as discreet hints of butter and almond. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a good structure, a mineral frame, a fine acidity, a fine tension, a good juiciness, a beautiful tension as well as elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, juicy lemon and small notes of mirabelle plum associated with hints of quince, physalis as well as subtle hints of beeswax and almond. Good length and beautiful persistence (with slight toasted hints, butter and almond).
