M. Chapoutier – Deschants 2016 – Saint-Joseph

The nose is fresh, racy and offers intensity, concentration and finesse. It reveals notes of juicy lemon, juicy tangerine and fresh brugnon combined with slight touches of white fruit, racy minerality, juicy grapefruit, a discreet hint of quince as well as a touch of fresh white flowers (in the background) and almond. The mouth is fruity, juicy, suave, gourmande, well-balanced and offers a beautiful precision, a beautiful definition, a small straightness, a good freshness as well as a beautiful elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe brugnon, quenette and small notes of juicy mirabelle plum associated with touches of citrus, green apple, racy minerality, almond and a very discreet hint of fleshy small yellow fruits. Good length.
